- Public tenders, capacity reports and programme dashboards.
- Manufacturer data sheets for product specifications.

We do not turn an estimate into a fact. Where no single official price exists across India, we publish a range and explain what changes it.
Facts, estimates and examples
Facts are tied to a named source and review date. Price ranges are market estimates when no single official price exists. Examples show how a calculation works. They are not promises about your project.
How topics are chosen
We choose topics from reader questions, changes in rules and gaps in practical guidance. Each guide must have a clear use for a real reader.
We cover home, business, utility, farm and off-grid solar as separate settings. A guide must make its scope clear instead of applying a home rule to every project.
Dates and corrections
Pages with changing information show a “last reviewed” date. A review means we checked the cited sources and key figures on that date. A portal or local rule can still change later.
When a material error is confirmed, we correct the page and update its review date. You can send evidence through the contact page.
Commercial independence
SolarCost.in does not accept payment for favourable coverage or vendor placement. If that model changes, we will label sponsorship and affiliate relationships next to the affected content.
Advertising
SolarCost.in does not currently display advertising. The Google AdSense script is present only for site ownership verification. If advertising, sponsorship or affiliate links are introduced later, we will label them clearly and keep them separate from editorial decisions.
Calculator standards
Calculator inputs stay in your browser. Results show cost, yield, savings and subsidy assumptions. We prefer conservative ranges to a precise but stale promise.
