Useful before exhaustive
We answer the decision early, explain the assumptions and link the source. We avoid long introductions, sales claims and unsupported rankings.
Our source order
- Laws, regulations, gazette notices and scheme guidelines.
- MNRE, PM Surya Ghar, PIB, CEA, state regulators and DISCOM pages.
- Manufacturer data sheets for product specifications.
- Clearly labelled market observations for price ranges.
We do not turn an estimate into a fact. Where no single official price exists across India, we publish a range and explain what changes it.
Dates and corrections
Pages with changing information show a “last reviewed” date. A review means we checked the cited sources and key figures on that date. A portal or local rule can still change later.
When a material error is confirmed, we correct the page and update its review date. You can send evidence through the contact page.
Commercial independence
SolarCost.in does not accept payment for favourable coverage or vendor placement. If that model changes, we will label sponsorship and affiliate relationships next to the affected content.
Calculator standards
Calculator inputs stay in your browser. Results show cost, yield, savings and subsidy assumptions. We prefer conservative ranges to a precise but stale promise.
